14 November B.E. 2551 (2008) Representing Dongguk University in Korea, I am deeply honored to receive a forty volume of Pali Tipitaka in Roman script edition from the Dhamma Society in the special occasion of the royal cremation of the late Princess Galayani. The president and faculties of Dongguk University appreciate your presentation of the valuable texts of the Buddhist teachings. Since founded in 1906 by a group of prominient Korean Buddhists, Dongguk University has been developed as one of the leading research and teaching institutes of Buddhism. I strongly believe that the great book will function as a cultural bridge between Thailand and Korea and catalyze the exchange of the studies of Buddha's words between Dongguk University and the Dhamma Society. With the recepient of this royal gift from Thailand, Dongguk University will initiate Tipitaka studies and support education for sustainable peace of humanity. Won K.
