To H.E. Major Suradhaj Bunnag,
Chancellor of the M.L. Maniratana Bunnag Dhamma Society Fund,
Honourable Mr. Prasit Seksarn,
and the Honourable Prof. G. A. Somaratne,
Secretary-General of the World Tipiṭaka Council of Sri Lanka.
Dear Sirs,

Warmest greetings from Nalanda Institute.

We are very grateful for the wonderful reception and presentation ceremony of the World Tipiṭaka in Bangkok last week. It is inspiring to see the good work of the Dhamma Society in propagating a Tipiṭaka Culture throughout the world, starting with leading and influential Buddhistinstitutions. We were indeed pleasantly surprised by the public recitation of the Pali Tipiṭaka organized at BMA on 14 November, which was attended by thousands of people and presided over by HRH Princess Soamsali.

There is still much to be done to promote the proper and systematic study of Pali Tipiṭaka, be it in Thailand, Malaysia or other parts of the world. For that, we are confident that with the forward vision and good efforts put in by the Dhamma Society, much more progress will come to fruition.

On behalf of the Malaysian delegation - Mr. & Mrs.Tee Kian and Master Vijaya - as well as the faculty and all members of Nalanda Institute in Malaysia, we thank you for this great honour and the Highest Gift of Dhamma. We on our part will continue to do whatever necessary to relay the message of the Buddha as contained in the Tipiṭaka to the Malaysian Buddhist community and even beyond.

Please accept our highest regards and felicitations. Anumodana!

Yours truly,
Dr. H S Tan
Director,
Nalanda Institute
